The Oxford Chiropractic Clinic has been in existence as a chiropractic clinic for over forty years. Started by Raymond Broome in the mid sixties, its direction was taken over in 1985 by Jonathan M. P. Howat, D.C. Both graduated of the original chiropractic college - The Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, USA.
The chiropractic staff at the Oxford Chiropractic Clinic are specifically trained in Sacro Occipital Technique and Chiropractic Craniopathy—a very specific and holistic technique in Chiropractic which includes extremities, soft tissue orthopeadics, TMJ, Cranial and paediatrics. This is a mandatory requirement for all chiropractors working at the clinic and ensures that there is consistency in our treatment delivery and availability at all times for our patients.
Patients are reassessed on each visit to the clinic and a strict record kept of their progress which includes monitoring their Neuro Spinal Functional Index Number—NSFI. (Insight Subluxation Station Technology)
Sacro Occipital Technique and Chiropractic Craniopathy are very user friendly to young and older patients alike and we encourage spinal health checks from a very early age, particularly in cases of prolonged labour or premature induced births. The Nervous system controls and regulates our bodies and our auto immune system so it is important that we maintain spinal health integrity throughout our lives.
